Advanced Nurse Practitioner @ Holt Medical Practice, North Norfolk

2 - 4 days p/w (up to 37.5 hours)

£23.00 - £24.35 per hour (depending on experience)

 

We are looking for 4 - 8 sessions (over 2 to 4 days) of Advanced Nurse Practitioner time to enhance our Nursing Team at Holt Medical Practice in North Norfolk.

 

The Surgery: We are a large practice with 14,000 patients and 10 GP Partners. We have a strong nursing team consisting of Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCAs and a Phlebotomist. Our main site at Holt is a modern, airy, purpose built Surgery with a hybrid Pharmacy adjoining it. Although busy, we are a relaxed, welcoming and harmonious Practice.

 

The Role: 4 to 8 sessions per week, up to 37.5 hours per week over 4 days. Nurse Practitioner appointment slots are at least 15 mins long with a 20 min tea break in the morning and afternoon together with protected administration time at the end of each clinical session. Our Nurse Practitioners are mainly based at the Holt site. Sessions may be a mix of same day assessment appointments and pre-booked chronic disease clinics, depending on specialisms, interests and on the day demand. NHS pension and MDU membership come as standard.

 

The Ideal Candidate: will be an experienced and motivated Advanced Nurse Practitioner. They will be an Independent Prescriber with a good sense of humour. Primary Care experience would be preferable and knowledge of chronic disease management would be an asset.  They should have good IT skills, excellent organisational, communication and clinical skills and a good understanding of QOF, Enhanced Services and CQC guidelines.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse (2 to 4 days a week) to enhance our Nursing Team at Holt Medical Practice in North Norfolk. We welcome applications from prescribing Practice Nurses and could support those that wish to obtain this qualification.

 

The Surgery: We are a large practice with 14,000 patients and 10 GP Partners. Our main site at Holt is a modern, airy, purpose built Surgery with a hybrid Pharmacy adjoining it. Although busy, we are a relaxed, welcoming and harmonious Practice. We have a strong nursing team consisting of Nurse Practitioners, Practice Nurses, HCAs and a Phlebotomist.

 

The Role: Clinics will include general nursing pre-booked appointments, chronic disease clinics and on the day minor illness/assessment slots. Slot times are generous and there is a 20 min tea break in the morning and afternoon together with protected administration time at the end of each clinical session. Our Practice Nurses work across all three of our sites (Holt, Melton and Blakeney) but are mainly based at Holt.

 

The Benefits: The hourly rate is between £18.50 and £21 p/h depending on experience. Holiday entitlement is 5 weeks plus pro-rata of bank holidays and a week’s study leave allowance.  NHS pension and MDU membership come as standard.

 

The Ideal Candidate: Will be a confident and motivated Practice Nurse with a good sense of humour. Previous experience of General Practice Nursing is essential and knowledge of chronic disease management (diabetes, COPD and/or asthma) would be an asset.  A prescribing qualification would be beneficial but not essential. They should have good I.T., organisational, communication and clinical skills and a sound understanding of QOF, Enhanced Services and CQC guidelines.

Receptionist (full time and part time)

 

We are looking to recruit a full time Receptionist (37.5 hours p/w based over 4.5 days), and also a part time Receptionist (up to 21 hours a week over flexible days).

 

You will be working as part of a team dealing with patients’ needs and booking appointments. This will be in a face-to-face front of house environment and also over the telephone. Good IT skills are important, along with excellent customer service skills. The role also requires absolute attention to detail to ensure all patients matters are dealt with accurately along with the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

 

The successful candidate will be well organised, fully flexible to be able to work extra hours at times of peak holidays; they will also have a very professional manner. Working hours will be Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-6:30pm and to support our extended hours opening until 7:15pm one day a week, as set out in a rota provided approximately four weeks in advance. Successful candidates must have a full driving licence (there may be a requirement to work at any of our 3 sites: Holt, Blakeney and Melton Constable) and have excellent customer care skills with a friendly, helpful personality. Full training will be given.
