Clinics and Services

The Practice Nurse Team consists of nurse practitioners and nurse specialists who offer support, advice and treatment in;

  • Minor Illnesses.
  • Coronary Heart Disease/Strokes (and prevention of).
  • Diabetes.
  • Asthma/Respiratory disorders (COPD).
  • Smoking Cessation.
  • Women’s Health issues including HRT/alternative therapies.
  • Family Planning/Contraception.

We have Auxiliary Nurses who are trained in phlebotomy (blood tests), blood pressure recording, ECG tests, adult health screening and assisting the Doctor with minor operations. More information on blood tests can be viewed on our Blood Tests page.

Appointments to see the nurses can be booked in advance using the I Want Help With A Medical Issue form. It is important that you give the correct information, so an appointment can be booked with the appropriate person.

Our nurse administrators will ensure that you receive any follow up services you may require.

Community Services

School Nursing

This service provides screening for growth, vision and hearing, health interviews, immunisation programmes, support for families with special needs and behavioural problems and advice for children with bed wetting or soiling. They also support schools with health promotion/education programmes.

Norfolk Hearing Support Service

Holds a clinic every 6 weeks in a mobile bus in Holt train station car park.
If you need assistance with your NHS Hearing Aid, they can give you advice and help you clean and re-tube your hearing aid. These are free “drop-in” sessions from 10:30 – 12:30.

You need to contact the Norfolk and Norwich Hospital or Cromer Hospital as they are no longer available from the surgery.
